Spoiler Alert: Makeup is expensive these days…shocking, I know. To make matters worse, stores like Ulta and Sephora rarely have store-wide sales, until of course that beloved holiday season. Well ’tis the season for sales, and Sephora is rolling out a big one this weekend! From 11/9-11/12, they’re offering 20% off to VIB Members. If you’re not a member, no problem – sign up and you can still be eligible for 15-20% off from 11/16-11/19.

As a makeup lover who has tried numerous products, I put together a list of my tried and true favorites with a brief review of each. I threw in some newbie items I have been eyeing as well because … well… a girl needs new options. I know some items may be repetitive from other posts, but that’s because I truly favor these products and continuously purchase them for use. All products are linked throughout this post and will take you directly to the product on the Sephora site; feel free to click from the links or images. My Favorites

It cosmetics CC Cream: I talk about this one All. The. Time. Great coverage, SPF, doubles as a moisturizer. No brainer.

Bare Minerals BarePro pressed powder: been hooked on this for years. I use it to set any liquid foundation or by itself on those au natural kinda days.

Too Faced Natural Face Palette: this baby has two bronzers, two blushes, and two highlighters. Oh, and it smells like coconut – done.

Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo: when Nars came out with “Orgasm” the makeup world exploded, and for good reason. This duo has been a staple in many a makeup lovers life for years now. If your skeptical, I recommend picking up the mini size HERE– try it before you buy it…well, for full price anyway.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil: I have been using this for years after switching from my beloved Anastasia brow pencil. This one is easy to use and blends perfectly with the spooly brush. This is also offered in a mini size for you skeptical shoppers.

Laura Mercier under eye brightening powder: this one is worth every penny, and it will last you! I recently picked this up for my mom and she was floored. Dust it under your eyes to brighten the area and set any concealer or powder.

Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette – OK lets throw in eye shadow for good measure. This popular palette will take you from natural looks to holiday looks and everything in between.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush: Tarte is by far my favorite brand for blushes. I have bought both the single blush colors anddd a blush palette from them. The colors are pigmented and last all day!

OK…and just in case Santa (or my husband) reads this…some items currently on my wish list…

Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette and Naked Cherry Vice Lipstick. OK, but these colorrrssssss. The palette was made for fall/winter and all things holiday… also I am pretty sure the lip color “Cherry” is coming home with me during this sale.

If you have never heard of Charlotte Tilbury, you have now. During my commuter days I would watch her makeup tutorials religiously, and always swore I would try her products one day, including this eye shadow palette. Alas,  Sephora has recently taken on selling her products. Her lipstick in the color Pillowtalk is one I have seen her use time and time again and looks like the perfect everyday color.

Finally, a hair product – I snagged this Living Proof Overnight Hair Mask as a mini from a recent Sephora purchase and loveeeeeddd it. Bonus points because you don’t need to rinse it out, you can simply apply to damp hair before bed and style in the morning. Winning.

Tis the season for shopping ladies, so get to it!
